It has been suggested that violent crime is more severe than other forms of criminal activity because of the harm to the victim as well as the greater costs incurred by society. Despite these concerns, programs have been introduced which specifically target violent offenders. However, of those programs currently available, Anger Management appears to be the intervention of choice for this population.
Enlightened the above Zomnotho Community Development NPO saw a need to visit Inmates /Prisoners at The Department of Correctional Services Port Shepstone to adress those issues through Implimentation of Social and Behaviour Change Programme called Man Championing Change Programme.
The objectives of this session was to understand the physiology of anger and identify triggers. Use cognitive restructuring and self-talk to help manage anger.Develop better lifestyle choices and Practice relaxation techniques. And also being surrounded by “abantu abangeke bakulethele istress “was one of the major topics discussed in Yesterday’s session.
Big Thanks to The Department of Correctional Services Social Woker Mjabu Moyer Mhlongo for supporting this Programme.
