Today, the Youth Commemoration outdoor activities are taking place in Okhalweni Ward 25 under the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality. We have gathered together our YOLO and Boys Championing Change beneficiaries to celebrate and empower young people through sport. The event features exciting soccer and netball activities.
The aim of this event is to commemorate Youth Day by empowering young people, encouraging positive behaviour change, promoting social cohesion, and creating a safe and supportive environment where youth can engage in recreational activities, develop life skills, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the community.
This initiative was made possible through a collaborative partnership between the Department of Social Development, the South African Police Service (SAPS), and Phara2Paradise Recovery NPO, all working together to support and uplift the youth of Okhalweni.
